CHECK CARBON CANISTER
FILTER
Model 915179
See Figure 18.
Clean or replace filter whenever engine air
filter is cleaned or replaced.
CHECK FASTENERS
Check for loose hardware.
LUBRICATE UNIT
See Figure 19.
1. Apply grease to grease zerk on each front
wheel.
See Figure 20.
2. Tip seat forward.
3. Apply grease to seat tracks through slots
under seat plate.
4. Return seat to operating position and
slide seat back and forth to spread
grease along tracks.
MAINTENANCE PREPARATION
Before starting any of the following
maintenance procedures:
1. Park unit a flat, level surface.
2. Move steering levers to neutral position.
3. Set parking brake.
4. Stop engine and wait for moving parts to
stop and for hot parts to cool.
5. Disconnect spark plug wires from engine.
NOTICE: Reconnect spark plug wires after
maintenance.
CHECK MOWER BLADES
Check blades for wear. Replace or sharpen
as needed.
Remove Blades
See Figure 21.
1. Remove hardware securing blades to
spindles and remove blades. Retain all
hardware for reinstallation.

CAUTION: AVOID INJURY. Use
sturdy gloves or padding to
protect hands when working with
mower blades.
Rotation of one blade rotates the
other blades.
