1. Remove mower deck. See Remove Deck
on page 29.
2. Remove three self-tapping screws from
each belt cover and remove both belt
covers. Retain all parts for reinstallation.
3. Remove hardware retaining idler arm and
two belt fingers from mower deck and
remove idler arm and belt fingers. Retain
all parts for reinstallation. See Figure 28.
4. Remove deck drive belt.
Install Deck Drive Belt
1. Install deck drive belt. See Figure 29.
NOTICE: Belt will not have tension until
routed around drive pulley and idler arm is
reinstalled.
2. Reinstall idler arm and belt fingers. See
Figure 28.
3. Reinstall belt covers and secure each
with three self-tapping screws removed
earlier.
4. Reinstall mower deck. See Install Deck
on page 30.
IMPORTANT: Make sure belt has tension and
remains aligned after installation is complete.
Remove Ground Drive Belt
IMPORTANT: Retain all parts for
reinstallation.

on page 29.
2. Tip seat forward.
