ADJUST MOWER DECK
Level Mower Deck
IMPORTANT: Make sure unit is on a flat,
level surface and that tires are inflated to the
recommended pressures. See Specifications
on page 36.
1. Set deck to highest cutting height.
2. Position mower blades so blade ends
point left to right across the width of the
deck.
3. On both sides of the unit, measure the
distance to the ground at the cutting edge
of the blade. See Figure 42.
• If the measurements are ± 0.635 cm
(1/4") of one another, no adjustment is
needed.
• If adjustments are needed, adjust the
nylon locking flange nut on the deck
link. Tighten the nut to raise the deck;
loosen the nut to lower the deck. See
Figure 43.
IMPORTANT: It may be necessary to adjust
the nut on more than one of the deck links.
CAUTION: AVOID INJURY. Use
sturdy gloves or padding to
protect hands when working with
mower blades.
Rotation of one blade rotates the
other blades.
