Unit sweeps
poorly.
Attachment clutch / brake is not
adjusted correctly.

Debris is caught in brush. Stop engine and wait for all moving parts
to stop and for hot parts to cool. Remove
obstruction before restarting.
Attachment drive belt is slipping,
worn or damaged.
Adjust or replace attachment drive belt.
Refer to the service guide for your unit.
Attachment drive belt is loose or
damaged.
Replace belt or adjust attachment control
cable. Refer to the service guide for your
unit.
Belt squeals
continuously.
Attachment clutch needs
adjustment.

Small rubber
beads collect in
frame.
Friction disc wear. This is normal friction disc wear and no
correction is needed unless there are
chunks or large pieces of rubber collecting
in frame. Refer to the service guide for
your unit.
U-joint is noisy.
Worn U-joint. Replace worn parts. Refer to the service
guide for your unit.
Caster wheels
do not pivot as
designed.
Debris in casters. Clean debris from casters.
Excessive friction in casters. Lubricate casters. See Lubricate Unit on
page 18.
