Water has splashed into the lter area during cleaning and
has drained down.
Anywaterthatwasspilledintotheltercartridgehousingduringthe
lter-cleaningprocesswilleventuallyrundownthecanisterandcreate
theappearanceofaleak.Thiswillstoponceallspilledwaterevapo-
rates.Noactionneedbetakenonyourpart,excepttomakesurethat
thedrippingdoesn’tcontinue(seebelow).
The lter canister lid wasn’t replaced correctly or there are
problems with the lid’s Gasket (O-Ring)
MakesuretoturnoffpowertotheCirculatingPump,thenremovelter
lid.ChecktheFilterLidO-Ringfordamageorbrittleness.Lubricate
orreplaceifnecessary.MakesuretheO-Ringisseatedproperlyinthe
grooveofthelid.Replacelid,makingsurethatitdoesn’tcross-thread,
andtightenitsufciently.
Water in spa is “ugly” or smells bad
Water used to ll the spa was dirty, or water in the piping
of the spa was dirty.
Itcantakeyourspaadayortwotoclearupwheninitiallylled.Make
sureyourspaisinthe“24Hour”Modeandrunningcontinuously.In
extremecases,especiallywhenaspahasbeenlledwithwellwater,it
maybenecessarytodrainandrellthespa,usinglteredwater.(Water
ltersmaybepurchasedattheAriesSpaStore.)
Water is not being circulated or ltered sufciently.
Makesureyourspaissettorunatleast12hoursperdaysothatthe
Ozonator(ifsoequipped)orchemicalswillbeproperlymixedinthe
water.
FilterCartridgeiscloggedwithbodyoilsorotherdebris,orlteris
damaged
Thoroughlycleanthelter,asdescribedin“CleaningYourFilter”.Ifit
stillseemsheavilyembedded,orisdamaged,replaceit.Ifthelteris
difculttocleanandisoverayearold,itisprobablytimetoreplaceit.
The water has not been chemically treated or there is a
chemical imbalance.
