7.5 Pictures & Videos
The Pictures & Videos program collects, organises and sorts images and
video clips in the following formats on your device.
File Type File Extensions
Image *.jpg, *.gif, *.bmp
Video *.wmv, *.3gp, *.mpeg4
You can view the pictures as a slide show, beam them to another nearby device,
e-mail them, edit them or set them as the background on the Today screen.
Copy a picture or video clip to your device
You can copy pictures from your PC and view them on your device.
• Connect your device to your PC using ActiveSync. You can find out more
about how to do this in Chapter 6. Then drag the images from your PC and
place them in the My Pictures folder on your Pocket PC.

Note: You can also copy pictures from your PC to your device using a memory card. Insert
the memory card into the memory card slot on your device and then copy the pictures from
your PC to the folder you created on the memory card.
View pictures
1. Tap Start > Programs > Pictures & Videos. The images in the My Pictures
folder appear as thumbnails by default.
2. Select a picture and tap View. If you cannot find a picture in the default My
Pictures folder, go to another folder by tapping the
icon. A list
of other folders will be displayed. Click on a folder name to navigate to
access it. This folder will become the default folder the next time you access
the Pictures icon.
