Using the Grill
The
7 Chefs
oven offers you three different grilling modes.
Use the grill setting for small portions. Although
electrical consumption is a mere 1200 W, it allows you to
grill small portions like toasted sandwiches, hotdogs, etc.,
to perfection.
Position the food under the centre of the grill because only
the central part of the top heating element is turned on.
Food placed in the corners will not cook properly.
The Double Grill setting allows you to grill along
the entire surface area of the grill. Use this mode when
you have food distributed uniformly throughout the oven
and you would like to brown the items uniformly.
When using the grill, the oven door must be left partly
open.
The Ventilated Double Grill is extremely useful for
grilling foods rapidly, as the distribution of heat makes it
possible not only to brown the surface, but also to cook
the bottom part.
This mode can also be used for browning foods at the
end of the cooking process.
When using the Ventilated Double Grill, the oven door
must be closed.
To operate the grill
1. Turn the oven control knob (B) clockwise until the
required grilling symbol is in line with the mark on the
control panel. The element is now “on”.
2. Turn the thermostat knob (C) to Max. The element is
now "on".
3. The variable grill control (C
1
) can now be operated to
select the required heat.
4. When using the "grill" setting, then the timer knob
(I) (only on certain models) may be set to a time of 1 to
15 minutes, after which the "grill" will automatically
swicth off. Alternatively to use thi setting, you can set
the timer to the position which will then be without any
timed control.
Note: on any of the "Double Grill" settings, the
setting MUST be selected as the timer does NOT
control these functions.
When utilizing the grill, place the rack as indicated in the
cooking table. To catch grease or fat and prevent smoke,
place a drip pan at the bottom rack level.
