6. FUNCTIONING AND CONNECTION
OF THE FUMES INHIBITOR
The water heaters are equipped with a devi-
ce that blocks the arrival of gas to the burner
and, therefore, interrupts the appliance fun-
ctioning when the fl ue is partially or totally
obstructed.
Such device is made of a thermostat A (fi g.
6) calibrated at 85°C ± 3 fi xed on the edge
of the fumes hood C and connected to the
thermocouple and the over-temperature sa-
fety thermostat of the gas valve.
The set is part of the fumes hood kit provi-
ded with the appliance that must be installed
in compliance with the following instructions.
The fumes thermostat A is the type with ma-
nual re-arm (fi g. 6.1). Should the appliance
block, it must be re-started as follows:
• wait 10 minutes after the block occurs;
• fully press the re-arm button P on the ther-
mostat;
• re-start the water heater by following the
instructions for the normal ignition.
Should the defect repeat, do not repeat ap-
pliance ignition but request the intervention
of a qualifi ed technician to remove the cause
of the problem.
