but measure the cabinet to counter distance and determine i

eed to trim the pieces.
Measure and use tin sni

s, or an electric rotar

tool with the
appropriate metal cutting blade, to make cut outs

or receptacles, light

witches, and other obstacles on the wall. You will use an adhesive to secure the metal panels to the backsplash area. Be sure to use
an adhesive that will adhere to both the metal panels and to the wall surface where the panels are to be mounted.

lease wear appropriate safety equipment. This installation is similar to the backsplash installation, with the addition of a backer layer of

aration for Accent Wall Installatio
n
S
tart by determinin
g
the size and shape of the accent wall. Remove all outlet covers and wall mounted fi xtures and check the wall to see
i
f
it is
at. Locate the studs with a stud
nder or by knocking on the drywall. The backer material will need to be attached to these studs.
Mark your stud locations on the drywall. Mark the center and the perimeter o
f
your accent wall. It is best to have any joints in the backer
material located at a stud.

se the above in

ormation to layout and mark the stud locations on the backer material. Also mark the center lines
f
or aligning the
Metallair
e
panels. Cut your backer to size. You will also want to mark and cut openings for outlets and fi xtures.
