Configure the Sound
Guitar Pro proposes two different technologies usuable simultaneously to play the score: MIDI and RSE.
RSE Sound:
RSE [Realistic Sound Engine] is an audio technology unique to Guitar Pro, which uses genuine guitar, bass and drum
samples. The result is an ultra realistic playback. RSE can be activated or disactivated using Sound > Use RSE [F2]
menu.
The instrument sound can be selected using the Track > Instrument [F6] menu or by clicking on the instrument name
in the mix table. One or several sound bank and effect are proposed for each midi sound.

MIDI Sound:
Definition: MIDI - Musical Instrument Digital Interface. It is a protocol, an universal language, allowing the
communication of musical information between computers, synthesizers, sequencers, .... MIDI files
consist of messages describing the score very precisely: notes, rhythm, instruments, .... The quality of the
sound depends of the sound card.
