In the box What you should know
The SURFboard SB8200 is a DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem that
provides secure ultra high-speed Internet access and faster data
transmission speeds over the broadband connection on your
home or small business network.
To get started, you must have a live broadband cable connecon
already set up in your home to install the SB8200. If you do not,
you will have to contact a cable service provider of your choice for
assistance. This quick start guide provides instrucons to install
your SB8200 and to set up your home network connecon.
To view the cable modem and network conguraon sengs, and
also monitor the operaonal status of your SB8200, refer to the
SURFboard SB8200 user guide for more informaon. The user
guide is available online at the ARRIS Support web site:
www.arris.com/selelp. Frequently asked quesons (FAQs) and
addional product documentaon are also available on the ARRIS
Support web site.
IMPORTANT! During the installaon or modem acvaon, you
may need to contact your service provider for assistance. To save
me, make sure you have the Model name (SB8200), MAC (media
access control) address (see HFC MAC ID), and Serial number (see
S/N) listed on the cable modem label located on the boom of
your SB8200 (also available under Cable modem label overleaf).
