In the box What you should know
The SURFboard SB8200 is a DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem that
provides secure ultra high-speed Internet access and faster data
transmission speeds over the broadband connection on your
home or small business network.
To get started, you must have a live broadband cable connecon
already set up in your home to install the SB8200. If you do not,
you will have to contact a cable service provider of your choice for
assistance. This quick start guide provides instrucons to install
your SB8200 and to set up your home network connecon.
To view the cable modem and network conguraon sengs, and
also monitor the operaonal status of your SB8200, refer to the
SURFboard SB8200 user guide for more informaon. The user
guide is available online at the ARRIS Support web site:
www.arris.com/selelp. Frequently asked quesons (FAQs) and
addional product documentaon are also available on the ARRIS
Support web site.
IMPORTANT! During the installaon or modem acvaon, you
may need to contact your service provider for assistance. To save
me, make sure you have the Model name (SB8200), MAC (media
access control) address (see HFC MAC ID), and Serial number (see
S/N) listed on the cable modem label located on the boom of
your SB8200 (also available under Cable modem label overleaf).
