MDR User Guide 87
S_mdr_MIDAS_MEMORY_OVERFLOW 0x55500017
MIDAS memory
block overflow.
The data source is sending data faster than the MDR is
able to write to the storage device. This error is differ-
ent from the S_mdr_DPIO_OVERFLOW error: in this
case, the DPIO input module is able to transfer all the
data from the data source to the MDR Server but the
MDR Server is unable to sustain the transfer rate when
writing to the storage device.
S_mdr_MISMATCHING_PARAMETERS 0x55500018
Mismatch be-
tween parameters.
A specified parameter does not match an internal one.
S_mdr_MISMATCHING_VERSION_NB 0x55500019
Mismatch be-
tween MDR ver-
sion numbers.
The MDR Server and MDR API (MDR Shell) version
numbers are different. They must be equal. You must
not use different software version for the MDR API and
MDR Server.
S_mdr_NOT_CONNECTED_TO_SERVER 0x5550001A
Not connected to
server.
The MDR Client is not connected to an MDR Server
and a command that requires a connection is sent to the
MDR API.
S_mdr_NOT_ENOUGH_MEMORY 0x5550001B
Not enough mem-
ory.
The MDR Server / MDR API / MDR Shell is unable to
allocate a specified amount of memory.
S_mdr_NOT_INITIALIZED 0x5550001C
MDR server not
initialized.
Reserved for future use.
S_mdr_NO_MORE_RECORDER_BLOCKS 0x5550001D
No more space on
recorder.
All the space on the storage device is used or the re-
cording size specified is bigger than the available space
left on the storage device.
S_mdr_RECORDING_OVERLAP 0x5550001E
Recording over-
laps another re-
cording.
The recording specified overlaps another existing re-
cording. This error is reported when creating, resizing
or moving a recording (modifying its start block).
S_mdr_RECORDING_OUT_OF_RANGE 0x5550001F
Recording out of
range.
The recording number specified is out of the allowed
recording number range. In MDR 1.2, this range is from
1 to 248 (included).
S_mdr_RECORDING_NOT_PRESENT 0x55500020
Recording not
present.
The specified recording is not present in the recording
table.
S_mdr_RECTBL_ACCESS_TIMEOUT 0x55500021
Recording table
access time-out
An access (read/write) to the recording table has timed-
out. This may indicate a problem with a (several)
disk(s) or that the disk(s) has(have) been removed from
the FC loop.
S_mdr_RECTBL_INVALID 0x55500022
Recording table is
invalid: should be
cleared.
The recording table can be set to invalid for several
reasons:
The recording table checksum is not consistent
with the recording table content,
The recording table contains too many recordings,
The recording table version number does not
match the MDR software version number (MDR
server version number if the MDR Server accesses
the storage device or the MDR API version num-
ber if a FC direct access ID used).
S_mdr_RECTBL_NOT_INITIALIZED 0x55500023
Recording table
not initialized.
The recording table has not been initialized in the MDR
software (MDR Server / MDR API).
S_mdr_REC_NAME_NOT_VALID 0x55500024
MDR recording
name not valid.
The recording name specified is invalid. The recording
name must not contain any control or special (space,
tabulation) characters.
S_mdr_REC_NAME_TOO_LONG 0x55500025
Recording name
too long.
The specified recording name is too long. In MDR 1.2,
the maximum length of a recording name is 36 charac-
ters.
S_mdr_REC_NAME_OUT_OF_RANGE 0x55500026
Recording name
number out of
range.
The number of the new recording name is out of range.
Therefore, it is invalid.
S_mdr_SD_CONTROLLER_ERROR 0x55500027
MDR storage
device controller
error
An error has occurred during a storage device controller
initialization.
S_mdr_SERVER_OCCUPIED 0x55500028
MDR Server is
occupied.
Reserved for future use.
S_mdr_SCSI_IOCTL_ERROR 0x55500029
SCSI ioctl com-
mand error.
The SCSI tape drive has not been able to execute a
SCSI ioctl command.
S_mdr_SCSI_ERROR_REPORT 0x5550002A
Error reporting
SCSI error report.
The MDR Server is unable to retrieve the SCSI error
report from the SCSI device.
S_mdr_SCSI_TAPE_NOT_PRESENT 0x5550002B
SCSI tape not
present.
A tape is expected in the SCSI tape drive but is not
present.
S_mdr_SCSI_TAPE_CONFIG_TIMEOUT 0x5550002C
SCSI tape con-
figuration timed-
out.
The SCSI tape configuration has timed-out because of
an internal SCSI tape drive configuration problem. The
configuration has not been done correctly.
