4.12 Password Setting
When you select this function, the following message appears at the center of the
screen:
Enter password:
Type the password, up to eight characters in length, and press “↵”. Typing a password
clears any previously entered password from the CMOS memory.
After having pressed “↵” the message changes to:
Confirm password:
Type the password again and press “↵”. To abort the process at any time, press “Esc”.
In the “Security Option” item in the “BIOS Features Setup” screen, select System or
Setup:

enter Setup.

Enter a password whenever you enter Setup.

Important!
To clear the password, simply press “↵” when asked to enter a
password. Then the password function is disabled.
