8.4.4.2. Delay
A delay can increase the spaciousness of a sound by providing distinct echoes within
the stereo field. It can also be used as a rhythmic counterpoint to accentuate a groove.
The Delay Time Sync options let you synchronize the delays with tempo and any other
synchronized parameters of the JUP-8 V4, and even allow delays in triplet and dotted times.

Changes the length of the delay, from 2 ms. to 2 seconds (2000 ms.), or if Sync is lit,
synchronizes the delays according to tempo from 1/32 notes to 8 (every 8 measures), as long
as the total delay doesn't exceed 2 seconds. For a description of the Sync Binary, Triplets, and
Dotted options, see LFO 2 and 3 controls [p.47].
Appears as a Mod Destination in the Advanced
LFOs, Mod Mixer and Sequencer.
Feedback Adjusts how many times the delay will repeat.
HP Freq
High pass filter: Higher values reduce the bottom end below the pass frequency with each echo.
Range 20 Hz to 10 kHz.
LP Freq
Low pass filter: Higher values reduce the high end above the pass frequency with each echo.
Range 250 Hz to 20 kHz.
Width Higher values increase the distance between the left and right repetitions of the echoes.
Ping-
Pong
Toggles between Stereo and Ping-Pong (alternating left/right echoes with exact rhythmic
spacing).
Dry/Wet Controls the balance between the input signal and the effected signal.
