9.10.6. CC Bank settings
This is were you set the value the CC knobs will transmit when turned. Although editing
these values is also possible on the KeyStep 37 itself, editing the values here is more quicker.
For each knob you can set:
Knob Range/Values (D)efault Description/Function
MIDI CC 1-127 (D=74) CC number
Min Range 0-127 (D=0) set minimum value
Max Range 0-127 (D=127) set maximum value
MIDI channel 1-16, user (D= user) set MIDI Channel
With MIDI CC you determine with CC message number will be used to send control values.
In the second and third fields (Min and Max) you set the minimum and maximum
boundaries of the values that can be transmitted, very usefull when you want to control only
a specific range of a paramete: a filter frequency, the attack of an ADSR or the rate of an
LFO.
The MIDI channel determines which of the connected synths or modules will receive the
controller value. You may for example have a Microfreak on channel one, a V collection ARP
2600 on channel two in you DAW and a vintage drum machine on channel 10. To control
them seperately you can either set each knob of Bank 1 to its own MIDI channel (1, 2, 10) or
(the better option) set the knobs of Bank 1 to MIDI channel one, those of Bank two to MIDI
channel two and those of Bank Three to MIDI channel ten.
