4.3 Launching the MIDI Control Center
Before launching the MIDI Control Center, make sure your Arturia MiniLab keyboard is
connected to your computer.
The MIDI Control Center is specifically designed for the MiniLab keyboard; it will not work with another MIDI
device.
4.3.1 The virtual keyboard and its controls
The MIDI Control Center utility will detect the MiniLab keyboard automatically and load
its current configuration into the computer memory. This is what you will see:
We’ll go through the Global and Selected Control Parameter sections later. Let’s look at
the numbered sections of the virtual keyboard first:
1: Pad 1-8 / 9-16 button
Use to access Pad banks 1-8 or 9-16
2: Octave Down / Up buttons
Use as assignable MIDI switches (not to transpose)
3: Pitch / Mod Touch strips
Use default settings or as assignable MIDI controls
4: Knobs 1 and 9
Use as assignable MIDI controls in other programs;
their functions are fixed inside Analog Lab
5: Knobs 2-8 and 10-16
Use as assignable MIDI controls
6: Pads 1-8 or 9-16
Use as assignable MIDI switches
7: MIDI Channel selectors
Not used in the MIDI Control Center software
8: Foot switch control
Use as assignable MIDI switch
