9.10.2.12. Vegas mode
When this setting is active the DrumBrute Impact front panel will begin to flash its buttons
and pads if no activity has occurred for 10 minutes.
9.10.2.13. Pause mode
This parameter dictates the function of the Play/Pause button. There are two settings:
• From current: when playback resumes it will do so from the place in the pattern
where the Pause button was pressed.
• From beginning: the pattern will start from the beginning when playback
resumes.
9.10.2.14. Next bank
You can instruct DrumBrute Impact to switch between banks without having to perform the
second step of also selecting a pattern within the new bank.
For example, if DrumBrute Impact is playing pattern Bank A #12 and you switch to Bank
B without specifying a pattern, it will play pattern Bank B #12 without waiting for further
instruction. Exactly when it will change to the second pattern is determined by the setting of
the Wait to Load Pattern parameter (which is described here [p.95]).
9.10.2.15. Local Control
This parameter determines whether the DrumBrute Impact will be played by its own pads
and sequencer or only by incoming MIDI data. When set to Off, the sound-producing
part of the DrumBrute Impact and the pads/sequencer behave as two separate units: the
pad/pattern data is sent over MIDI/USB without triggering the internal voice engine of the
DrumBrute Impact.
In this case, pressing a pad or playing a sequence will not produce a sound but will send
messages to the MIDI Out port, while the sound-producing part of the DrumBrute Impact
will produce sound only in response to messages coming in through the MIDI In port (USB
or MIDI).
9.10.2.16. Solo / Mute mode
The Mute/Solo buttons can be set up so they will either toggle or latch when they are
used. This menu will configure the DrumBrute Impact to work one way or the other. This
parameter can only be accessed using the MIDI Control Center, not from the front panel.
