9.10.3. Roller/Looper settings
9.10.3.1. Roller/Looper Mode
When the DrumBrute Impact is playing (and not recording) the Touch strip can have two
different (but exclusive) behaviors: Roller or Looper. This option allows you to change this
behavior. See the Looper/Roller section [p.26] for more details.
9.10.3.2. Roller/Looper MIDI
When activated, the Touch strip will send a MIDI CC (Control Change) value each time you
touch it, except when setting a Step Repeat value. The Touch strip also will be activated each
time a matching MIDI CC message is received by the DrumBrute Impact.
You can change the MIDI CC number of the Touch strip (see the Device Settings [p.93]
section). But the MIDI CC
values
sent and recognized by the Touch strip are fixed:
Touch strip region CC value sent CC value to activate
OFF 0 0-24
1/4 25 25-49
1/8 50 50-74
1/16 75 75-99
1/32 100 100-127
For example, if the DrumBrute Impact receives MIDI CC values between 25 and 49, this will
activate the 1/4 setting on the Touch strip. Touching the strip on 1/4 will send only a value of
25.
The Looper/Roller sends and receives on the Global MIDI Channel, which can be changed
using the Device Settings [p.93] tab.
