10.6. Editing in Step mode
In order to edit the steps a pattern the Sequencer must be in Step mode. You can do Step
mode editing while a pattern is playing, but for now it might be easier to press the Stop
button.
Then if the Record button is not already lit, press it. When it turns red, you'll know the
Sequencer is in Step mode.
10.6.1. The pads at a glance
In Step mode, a pad that is red indicates a step that contains data. To silence that step, press
the pad and it will go dark.
The playing cursor is purple: it identifies the pattern location during playback, and also lets
you know exactly where the pattern was when it was paused.
