Following limitations apply during upgrade:
Using software version 3.x.x at site A and software version 4.x.x at site B:
- 3.x.x users get No Access when located in site B (4.x.x).
- Idle display does not work for 4.x.x users located in site A (3.x.x software).
Using software version 3.x.x at site A and software version 5.0.x at site B:
- 3.x.x users get No Access when located in site B (5.0.x).
- 5.0.x users get No Access when located in site A (3.x.x).
Using software version 4.x.x at site A and software version 5.0.x at site B:
- 5.0.x users get No Access when located in site A (4.x.x).
8.20 Replacing Master Hardware in Multiple Master System
If a faulty Master IPBS is replaced with a new one and the same configuration shall be
applied to the new one, then the faulty Master must have been disconnected from the
system more than 2 minutes before the new Master is connected, otherwise all the
subscription data will be lost.

8.21 Diagnostics
8.21.1 Logging
The IPBS/IPBL can generate a number of logs which can be useful when supervising and
troubleshooting the IP-DECT system. For information on how to collect the log files, see
8.1.6 Configure Logging on page 69. For a description of each log, see the table below.
