Operating Manual - nX, nXe, and nXp Power Ampliers
2.5 Aux Output Wiring (nXe and nXp only)
The aux outputs are pseudo-balanced, meaning they use single ended signal (+) but with balanced impedance, and can be
wired balanced or unbalanced. Always use shielded cable for audio signals.
2.6 Mechanical
Each amplier model is 2RU, and is designed to t in a standard 19-inch equipment rack. Use four screws when mounting
the amplier to the front rack rails. Rear support is recommended for mobile or touring use (see mechanical drawing below).
In some installations where the sound system is exposed to a high level of RF noise or system-induced oscillation, it may be
necessary to ground the amplier’s chassis to the rack enclosure. This is accomplished using star type lockwashers on the four
rack mounting screws, placed between the amplier chassis and the rack rails. These star washers will penetrate through the
amplier and rack rail nish to adequately ground the chassis to the rack.
2.7 Cooling
Air vents on the amplier front and side panels must have access to free owing room temperature air. Cool air is drawn
in through the sides and blown out the front. It is not necessary to leave empty rack spaces above or below the amplier. See
the BTU/hr chart below for amplier thermal output characteristics.
