Appendix D: Configuration in offline scenarios
In Orion EMS offline sc enarios, there is no connec tion to the VISIONLINE server. Either a
wired thermostat
1)
or a thermostat controller and a battery thermostat
2)
is used. Eac h
room can be seen as a PAN (personal area network) whic h is controlled by its wired
thermostat or it s thermost at c ontroller, depending on what sc enario that is applic able.
The firmware in the wired thermostat or the thermostat controller is a coordinator
firmware instead of a router firmware.

Figure D1 is only applic able for Orion Thermostat-Original-LV.FigureD2is
applic able for Orion Thermostat-Zen-HV as well as for Orion Thermostat-Original-LV,
even if the picture shows an Orion Thermostat-Original-LV.
