E-INK TECHNOLOGY E-ink technology is a technology of printed text representation that does not require a display backlight. E-ink text does not cause eye strain.

All this actions can cause the heatting of battery following huge calorification. • When the the battery is run out, please, utilize it according to the local laws. • Do not disassemble the device to replace the internal battery. First the logotype «ASSISTANT» than the main menu will appear.

To lock the device or avoide occasionable pressures turn off the lock key on the top panel into a rightmost position. Turn the key back to unlock the device. Charging of the e-book reader Fully charge the battery before the first using. Connect the device to the PC via USB-cabel or to the power grid 220 V via adapter. Time of full charging via adapter takes 2.5 hours, via USB-port takes 5 hours.

Using memory card and connecting to the PC The e-book reader has a memory card slot on the bottom panel. To use the memory card put it into the slot as is shown at a picture below (contacts should be directed toward the socket): USB-cable - mini USB Close all programms and make sure any application is not accessed to the memory before removing the memory card.
YOUR SUCSESS IS OUR CONCERN! To enter a main menu press and hold the key after connecting with PC. Window with a connection confirmation will appear automaticly. With help of navigation keys «left»/«right» confirm (« ») or cancel («Cancel») the connection. You can set a device connection to PC in «Setting» «Connection to PC» if it is nesessary. All operating systems recognize the device automatically (an icon «Removable Disk» will appear at the folder «My computer»).

MAIN MENU When the device is switch on the main menu is shown by default. Use navigation keys «up»/«down» to select required menu. Press the confirmation button to enter it. History To enter «History» at the main menu select this submenu using navigation keys «up/down» and press confirmation button. Use keys «up»/«down» to select reqiured file (you can view text, audio and image files) and press key . to exit view mode and return to file Press key list.
YOUR SUCSESS IS OUR CONCERN! BOOKS E-book reader ASSISTANT AE-601 supports next text formats: PDF, EPUB, FB2, TXT, MOBI, HTML, PDB, RTF, LRC, DJVU, DOC, ZIP, RAR, 7Z. The device supports text viewing in HTM and HTML formats, but come elements (dynamic objects, statistic and dynamic images, etc.) could not be displayed. This is not a device fault. Books Viewing text files With help of navigation keys «up»/«down» at the main menu select a submenu «Books» .
YOUR SUCSESS IS OUR CONCERN! Changing the font size and page rotating Press key to change the font size (this option is available for all text-formats except pdf). The font size will increase within the device's screen. Select the mode «Scale 2» to change the size of pdf-file at the additional menu of text-file management. To move on page down/ up/ left/ right use navigation keys «down»/ «up»/ «left»/ «right» accordingly. To rotate the text page at 90 ° clockwise press rotate key .
YOUR SUCSESS IS OUR CONCERN! If all the rows in bookmark list are busy new bookmark will be created over existing. Select «Delete bookmark» to clear the bookmark list. Read bookmarks Select an item «Read bookmarks» to see the fragment of a text file, select required bookmark and press . To clear the bookmark list select «Delete a bookmark» . Press key to cancel selection and return into reading mode. Jump page To open a certain page select an item «Jump page» and type a number of required page.

In this case the number of page at the top of display will not change until you turn over a next page. Select an item «Original size» to return to normal mode of viewing. AUDIO This menu allows to play audio files with MP3 and WMA to return into main formats. Press and hold key menu. With help of navigation keys «up»/ «down» select a menu «Music» .

This menu runs auto radio scan: «Autosearch» or select stations manually: «Manual search» . All radiostaions with good signal will be saved. New searching delets all saved radiostations. To select radiostations manually choose appropriate menu and press key . Use keys «up»/«down» for the step settings.
