1. Serial port connector (10-1 pin COM)
Thisconnectorisforaserial(COM)port.Connecttheserialportmodulecabletothis
connector,theninstallthemoduletoaslotopeningatthebackofthesystemchassis.
TheCOMmoduleispurchasedseparately.
2. Front panel audio connector (10-1 pin AAFP)
Thisconnectorisforachassis-mountedfrontpanelaudioI/Omodulethatsupports
eitherHDAudioorlegacyAC`97audiostandard.Connectoneendofthefrontpanel
audioI/Omodulecabletothisconnector.
• Werecommendthatyouconnectahigh-denitionfrontpanelaudiomoduletothis
connectortoavailofthemotherboard’shigh-denitionaudiocapability.
• Ifyouwanttoconnectahigh-denitionfrontpanelaudiomoduletothisconnector,set
theFrontPanelTypeitemintheBIOSsetupto[HD].IfyouwanttoconnectanAC’97
frontpanelaudiomoduletothisconnector,settheitemto[AC97].Bydefault,this
connectorissetto[HD].
