Allows you to enable or disable the Serial ATA function.
Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
SATA Controller Mode Option [Enhanced]
Allows selection of the Serial ATA operation mode depending on the
operating system (OS) that you installed. When you set this item to
Enhanced Mode, Serial ATA and Parallel ATA devices are
auto-detected and placed in native IDE mode. Set to Enhanced Mode if
you are using native OS, such as Windows
®
2000/XP. When you set
this item to Compatible Mode, Serial ATA and Parallel ATA devices are
auto-detected and placed in legacy mode.
