UPnP connects PCs of all form factors, providing a seamless
network for remote conguration and data transfer. Using
UPnP, a new network device is discovered automatically.
Once connected to the network, devices can be remotely
congured to support P2P applications, interactive gaming,
video conferencing, and web or proxy servers. Unlike Port
forwarding, which involves manually conguring port
settings, UPnP automatically congures the router to accept
incoming connections and direct requests to a specic PC on
the local network.

• Enable: Select Yes to enable VLAN and set the VLAN ID
provided by your IPTV service provider.
WAN DNS Setting
• Connect to DNS Server automatically: Allows this router to
get the DNS IP address from the ISP automatically. A DNS is a
host on the Internet that translates Internet names to numeric
IP addresses.
DHCP Option
• Option 60: The DHCP Server checks the attribute of option
60 to determine whether the Client that has sent the request
meets the criteria for obtaining the IP address. If yes, the
DHCP Server will respond with the DHCP Oer message to
assign the IP address. Otherwise, the DHCP Server ignores the
request. Your ISP may turn o the option 60 check function
of the DHCP Server. If this function is turned o, the DHCP
Server will respond to the Client’s request no matter option
60 matches or not.
• Option 61: Option 61 species the unique identier of the
DHCP client in the administrative domain, and will be used by
the DHCP Server to index the address binding of its database.
