ASUS ESC8000-E11P
2.6 Expansion slots
Ensure to unplug the power cord before adding or removing expansion cards. Failure to do
so may cause you physical injury and damage motherboard components.
2.6.1 Installing an expansion card to the front PCIe
expansion card bracket (on select models)
The server system comes pre-installed with a front riser card bracket that supports one x16
slot (Gen5 x16 link) for installing a low-profile, half-length PCIe expansion card.
To install a PCIe expansion card to the front PCIe riser card bracket:
1. Loosen the thumb screw that secures the riser card bracket to the chassis.
2. Firmly hold the riser card bracket, slide it towards the back of the chassis to unlock it,
then pull it up to detach it from the chassis.
