Chapter 4: BIOS Setup
4.5.3 System Agent (SA) Configuration
The items in this menu allow you to change the System Agent (SA) parameters.
Slow Slew Rate for GT Domain
Set VR GT Slow Slew Rate for Deep Package C State ramp time; Slow
slew rate equals to Fast divided by number, the number is 2, 4, 8 to slow
down the slew rate to help minimize acoustic noise.
Configuration options: [Fast/2] [Fast/4] [Fast/8]
CPU C-states
Allows you to enable or disable CPU Power Management. Allows CPU to go to C
states when it’s not 100% utilized.
Configuration options: [Auto] [Disabled] [Enabled]
The following items appear only when CPU C-states is set to
[Enabled]
.
Enhanced C-States
Allows you to enable or disable C1E. When enabled, CPU will switch to minimum
speed when all cores enter C-State.
Configuration options: [Enabled] [Disabled]
Package C State Limit
Allows you to set the C-state limit for the CPU package. Setting to [CPU Default] will
leave it as the Factory default value. Setting to [Auto] will initialize the deepest available
Package C State Limit.
Configuration options: [C0/C1] [C2] [C3] [C6] [C7] [C7s] [C8] [C9] [C10] [CPU Default]

Thermal Monitor
Allows you to enable or disable the Thermal Monitor.
Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
Dual Tau Boost
Allows you to enable Dual Tau Boost feature. This is only applicable for Desktop
35W/65W/125W sku. When DPTF is enabled this feature is ignored.
