Chapter 3: BIOS setup
3.3 Advanced menu
The Advanced menu items allow you to change the settings for the CPU and other
system devices.
Be cautious when changing the settings of the Advanced menu items. Incorrect
eld values can cause the system to malfunction.
3.3.1 Start ASUS EzFlash
This item allows you to run EzFlash utility. When you press <Enter>, a conrmation
message appears. Use the left/right arrow key to select between [Yes] or [No],
then press <Enter> to conrm your choice.
3.3.2 PCH-FW Configuration
TPM Device Selection
This item allows you to select the TPM device. Conguration options: [dTPM] [PTT]
3.3.3 Trusted Computing
Security Device Support
This item allows you to enable or disable BIOS support for security devices.
Conguration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]
3.3.4 Platform Misc Configuration
The items in this menu allow you to congure the platform-related features.
Native PCIE Enable
The following item appears only when you set the Native PCIE Enable to
[Enabled].
Native ASPM
[Enabled] OS controls the ASPM (active state power management)
support for devices.
[Disabled] BIOS controls the ASPM support for the device.
PCH - PCI Express
PCH DMI ASPM
This item allows you to control the Active State Power Management on both NB
(NorthBridge) side and SB (SouthBridge) side of the DMI Link.
Conguration options: [Disabled] [L0s] [L1] [L0sL1] [Auto]
ASPM 0
This item allows you to select the ASPM state for energy-saving conditions.
Conguration options: [Disabled] [L0s] [L1] [L0sL1] [Auto]
