Chapter 3: Managing your NAS via its Web GUI
To upgrade the rmware for your NAS:
1. From the navigation pane, click Maintenance > Firmware.
2. Click Browse to specify a rmware le.
3. Click Apply.
IMPORTANT:
If the rmware upgrading process fails, use Firmware Restoration included in the Support
CD to rescue your NAS and restore it to its normal working condition.
To rescue your NAS via Firmware Restoration:
1. Turn your NAS OFF.
2. Simultaneously press and hold the reset button at the back and the power button at
the front of your NAS.
3. Release the power button when the power LED starts blinking blue and release the
reset button.
4. Launch the Firmware Restoration utility.
5. Click Browse to locate the rmware le.
6. Click Upload.
NOTE:
Your NAS is currently in Rescue mode.
