Tenninator Settings
SCS[ devices ari connected together in a "diaui” by cables, In

cable if there is mare than one internal or external device, additional

chair must be "terminated" at both ends, or the devices in the chain
will not work properly.
Mariy SCSI devices use a set ¡if terminating resistors to terminate
the device- The PCI-SClOO has "active" termination that yon set us
ing jumper JP5. If yon need tn terminate the PCI-SC200, you do it by
setting the jumper. The are two settings, terminated and
untermiiuted, as showfi below',

Decide whether or not you need to terminate the PC1-SC20D
based on i(& position in the SCSI chain. Only the devices at each end
of the chain need tu be terminated. If you have Oftltf internal or ofíÍií
external devices connected to 1he 1’0-SC200, then you miisf termi
nate the FCJ-SC200. If you have bolU internal and external devices
Connected, you fu'irsl n<?f terminate the card. l"he figures on the next
