2.4 System memory
The motherboard comes with onboard dual-channel Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3)
memory chips. The DDR3 memory is developed for better performance with less
power consumption. The gure illustrates the location of the DDR3 memory:
This chipset ofcially supports DDR3 1066MHz. With the ASUS Super
Memspeed Technology, the motherboard natively supports up to DDR3
1333MHz and provides more ratio setting items than the chipset ofcially
supports. Refer to the table below for details.
It is recommended that you install a CPU with 1066MHz FSB or above to
guarantee the DDR3 memory to overclock above 1600MHZ.
