Installing the SIM card and battery Before you can start using your PadFone, you need to install a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card and the battery.

Charging your PadFone After installing your SIM card and battery, we strongly recommend that you charge the battery fully before turning your device ON. To charge your PadFone: 1. Connect the power plug into the USB charger. Ensure that the power plug is attached securely in place. 2. Connect the USB connector into the USB charger’s USB port. 3. Connect the micro USB connector into your PadFone. 4. Insert the power plug into a wall socket.
Turning your PadFone on or off Press the power key on top of your PadFone to turn the device on or to turn it off. Power key IMPORTANT The first time you turn your PadFone on, you will see the Welcome screen. Touch the menu to select your preferred language then touch Next Step. Follow the succeeding onscreen instructions to set up your PadFone. To turn your PadFone off: 1. Press the power key for about five (5) seconds until the power off menu appears. 2. Touch Power Off then touch OK to confirm.
