1.1 Installing the CacheVault™ to ASUS server systems
Some ASUS server systems have a specially designed space for installing the CacheVault™
Power Module, allowing you to make use of all your system’s PCIE expansion slots. If your
server system does not have a specially designed space, please refer to 1.2 Installing the
CacheVault™ to a PCIE slot for more details.

1. Remove the riser card bracket from your server system, then place it on a at and
stable surface. Locate the three screw holes for the LSI
®
CVPM (CacheVault™ Power
Module) clip.
For more details on how to uninstall the riser card bracket, please refer to the user manual
that came with your server system.
2. Align the three screw holes on the LSI
®
CVPM clip with the three screw holes on
the riser card bracket, then secure the
clip with the clip holder screws.
3. Install the CacheVault™ Power Module
into the LSI
®
