Digital audio connector (4-1 pin SPDIF_OUT)
ThisconnectorisforanadditionalSony/PhilipsDigitalInterface(S/PDIF)port.
ConnecttheS/PDIFOutmodulecabletothisconnector,theninstallthemoduleto
a slot opening at the back of the system chassis.
Serial port connector (10-1 pin COM)
Thisconnectorisforaserial(COM)port.Connecttheserialportmodulecableto
thisconnector,theninstallthemoduletoaslotopeningatthebackofthesystem
chassis.
Front panel audio connector (10-1 pin AAFP)
This connector is for a chassis-mounted front panel audio I/O module that supports
HDAudioaudiostandard.ConnectoneendofthefrontpanelaudioI/Omodule
cable to this connector.
• Werecommendthatyouconnectahigh‑denitionfrontpanelaudiomoduletothis
connectortoavailofthemotherboard’shigh‑denitionaudiocapability.
• Ifyouwanttoconnectahigh‑denitionfrontpanelaudiomoduletothisconnector,
settheFrontPanelTypeitemintheBIOSsetupto[HDAudio].Bydefault,this
connectorissetto[HDAudio].
