500 Series BIOS Manual
CPU Core/Cache Current Limit Max.
Allows you to congure a current limit for frequency or power throttling. Setting this
item to the maximum value can prevent throttling when overclocking.
Conguration options: [Auto] [0.00] – [255.75]
Long Duration Package Power Limit
This item is an Intel parameter known as “power limit 1” and specied in Watts. The
default value is dened by TDP of the processor. Increasing the value will allow the
Turbo ratio to be maintained for a longer duration under higher current loads.
Conguration options: [Auto] [1] – [4095]
Package Power Time Window
This item is an Intel parameter known as [power limit 1] and specied in seconds. The
applied value indicates how long the Turbo ratio can be active when TDP is exceeded.
Conguration options: [Auto] [1] – [448]
Short Duration Package Power Limit
This item is an Intel parameter known as “power limit 2” and specied in Watts. It is
the second Intel power limit which provides protection when package power exceeds
power limit 1. The default setting is 1.25 times power limit 1. According to Intel, the
platform must support this value for up to 10msec when power consumption exceeds
power limit 2. ASUS motherboards are engineered to support this duration for a longer
time as required to facilitate overclocking. Conguration options: [Auto] [1] – [4095]
IA AC Load Line
AC Loadline dened in mOhms. Conguration options: [Auto] [0.01] – [62.49]
IA DC Load Line
DC Loadline dened in mOhms. Conguration options: [Auto] [0.01] – [62.49]
Thermal Velocity Boost
TVB Voltage Optimazations
Allows you to control thermal based voltage optimizations for processors that
implement the Intel Thermal Velocity Boost (TVB) feature. Using Overclocking Mailbox
command 0x18/0x19. Conguration options: [Auto] [Disabled] [Enabled]
V-Max Stress
When this item is set to [Enabled], frequency may be clipped if the maximum voltage
on the silicon is too high. When set to [Disabled], frequency will not be clipped.
Conguration options: [Auto] [Disabled] [Enabled]
Overclocking TVB
Enable this item to be able to draw temperature/frequency dependencies.
Conguration options: [Auto] [Disabled] [Enabled] [+1Boost Prole] [+2Boost Prole]
[+1Boost Prole] This setting will enable additional boost of one bin
with the help of Auto Optimized Temperature Control.
[+2Boost Prole] This setting will enable additional boost of two bins
with the help of Auto Optimized Temparature Control.
