Motherboard Technical Updates
This is an information update for the user guide that comes with your motherboard package.
Installing the Intel 9260 Wi-Fi driver on Windows
®
10 RS5
Due to limitations in the Intel 9260 Wi-Fi driver, your system may become unstable after
updating your operating system to Windows
®
10 RS5 or later. Please follow the steps below
to install the Intel Wi-Fi driver on Windows
®
10 RS5 or later:
1. Enter the BIOS Setup during POST.
2. Go to Advanced > Onboard Devices Configuration > Wi-Fi 802.11ac Controller,
then set the item to [Disabled].

3. Save your changes and exit the BIOS Setup.
4. Boot into your Windows
®
OS.
5. Install or update your Windows
®
OS to Windows
®
10 RS5 or later.
6. Place the Support DVD into the optical drive.
7. Browse the contents of the Support DVD.
8. Under Drivers > BT_WiFi > WIFI, double-click AsusSetup.exe to run the installation.
9. Reboot your system and enter the BIOS Setup during POST again.
10. Go to Advanced > Onboard Devices Configuration > Wi-Fi 802.11ac Controller,
then set the item to [Enabled].
11. Save your changes and exit the BIOS Setup.
12. Boot into your Windows
®
OS to complete the installation.
