Prevent Tipping When using the display, fasten the LCD to a wall using a cord or chain that can support the weight of the monitor in order to prevent the monitor from falling. 1.1 Welcome! Thank you for purchasing the ASUS® LCD monitor! The latest widescreen LCD monitor from ASUS provides a crisper, broader, and brighter display, plus a host of features that enhance your viewing experience. With these features, you can enjoy the convenience and delightful visual experience that the monitor brings to you! 1.
1.3 Assembling the Monitor To assemble the monitor: • 1. While assembling the monitor arm/base, we recommend that you keep the monitor inside its EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) packaging. Remove the EPS packaging from the box. 1 2. Take out all accessories from the upper EPS.
3. Remove the upper EPS from the EPS packaging. 3 4. Align and install the arm to its compartment on the rear of the monitor. 4 5. 6. Align and install the base to the arm. Fix the base to the arm by fastening the two (2) bundled screws.
7. Remove the monitor from the bottom EPS. 7 • • Please do not hold the panel, we recommend hold the monitor stand to pick up monitor. Base screw size is M6 x 15 mm. Adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you.

1.5 Monitor Introduction 1.5.1 Using the Control Buttons Use the control buttons on the rear of the monitor to adjust the monitor settings. • 1. Press the ( ) button to call out the quick OSD menu. 1.5.2 GamePlus Function The GamePlus function provides a toolkit and creates a better gaming environment for users when playing different types of games. The FPS (frames per second) counter lets you know how smooth the game is running. The crosshair overlay with 6 different crosshair options lets you choose the one that best suits the game you're playing. There are also on screen timer and stopwatch you can position on the left of the display so you can keep track of the gaming time.
GamePlus — Timer GamePlus NEXT BACK/EXIT GamePlus 1.5.3 GameVisual Function The GameVisual function helps you select among different picture modes in a convenient way. To activate GameVisual: 1. • MOBA Mode: This is the best choice for Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) games playing with GameVisualTM Video intelligence Technology. • User Mode: More items are adjustable in the Color menu. • • • In the Racing Mode, the Saturation, Sharpness, and ASCR functions are not user-configurable. In the sRGB, the Saturation, Color Temp., Sharpness, Contrast, and ASCR functions are not user-configurable. In the MOBA Mode, the Saturation and ASCR functions are not userconfigurable.
2.1 Detaching the Stand (for VESA Wall Mount) • Avoid damaging the monitor surface. While detaching the monitor stand, always keep the monitor inside its EPS packaging. The detachable stand of this monitor is specially designed for VESA wall mount. 1. 2. Disconnect power and signal cables. Carefully put the monitor facedown on its EPS packaging. Release the two (2) bundled screws and remove the base from the arm. 3. Press the release button to detach the stand (arm) from the monitor. 4.
2.2 Adjusting the Monitor • For optimal viewing, we recommend that you look at the full face of the monitor, then adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you. • Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling when you change its angle. • You can adjust the monitor's angle from -5° to 20° and it allows 25° swivel adjustment from either left or right. You can also adjust the monitor's height within ±11 cm and rotate the monitor (90˚ clockwise) to portrait orientation.

• To activate Variable Refresh Rate/FreeSync Premium, turn off ELMB function first. Variable Refresh Rate/Freesync Premium can only be activated within: - HDMI source: 48Hz ~ 144Hz - DisplayPort source: 48Hz ~ 165Hz - DisplayPort OverClocking source: 48Hz ~ 170Hz • • ELMB: Extreme Low Motion Blur. Decreases motion blur and minimizes ghosting part when on-screen objects are fast moving. • To activate ELMB, turn off Variable Refresh Rate/Freesync Premium function first.
• Contrast: Adjusts the contrast level. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100. • VividPixel: ASUS Exclusive Technology that brings lifelike visuals for crystal-clear and detail-oriented enjoyment. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100. • HDR Setting: High Dynamic Range. Contains several HDR modes. The HDR mode is selectable when input video is correct HDR source. • • ASCR: Select ON or OFF to enable or disable dynamic contrast ratio function.
• • Please refer to the following to alleviate eye strains: Users should take some time away from the display if working for long hours. It is advised to take short breaks (at least 5 mins) after around 1 hour of continuous working at the computer. Taking short and frequent breaks is more effective than a single longer break. To minimize eye strain and dryness in your eyes, users should rest the eye periodically by focusing on objects that are far away. Eye exercises can help to reduces eye strain.
4. Input Select Select the input source. • Auto Input Detection: When enabled, the system will automatically select the latest inserted I/O port. • Input Source: Manually select the input source.
5. MyFavorite You can adjust Shortcut and Customized Setting from this main function.
6. System Setup Adjust the system configuration.
• Power Indicator: Turns the power LED indicator on/off. • Power Key Lock: Disables or enables the power key. • Key Lock: Pressing down the ( ) button for more than five seconds to activate or deactivate the key lock function. • Power Setting: Select the power setting between Standard Mode and Power Saving Mode. • • In Power saving mode, the screen brightness will be lowered and the monitor will consume less power.

3.4 Troubleshooting (FAQ) Problem Power LED is not ON Possible Solution • Press the button to check if the monitor is turned on. • Check if the adapter and power cord are properly connected to the monitor and the power outlet. • Check the Power Indicator function in the OSD menu. Select “ON“ to turn on the power LED. The power LED lights white and there is no screen image • Check if the monitor and the computer are turned on.
