If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your dealer or local power company. • Use the appropriate power plug which complies with your local power standard. • Do not overload power strips and extension cord. Overloading can result in fire or electric shock. • Avoid dust, humidity, and temperature extremes. Do not place the monitor in any area where it may become wet.
Care & Cleaning • Before you lift or reposition your monitor, it is better to disconnect the cables and power cord. Follow the correct lifting techniques when positioning the monitor. When lifting or carrying the monitor, grasp the edges of the monitor. Do not lift the display by the stand or the cord. • Cleaning. Turn your monitor off and unplug the power cord. Clean the monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.

1.1 Welcome! Thank you for purchasing the ASUS® LCD monitor! The latest widescreen LCD monitor from ASUS provides a crisper, broader, and brighter display, plus a host of features that enhance your viewing experience. 1.3 Assembling the Monitor Arm/Base •• 1. Align the screw hole on the arm with the bundled screw on the base. Then insert the base into the arm. 2. Fix the base to the arm by fastening the bundled screw. 3. Align the triangle marks on the monitor base and the LED projection cover. Then attach the LED projection cover to the monitor base. 4. Remove the monitor from its EPS packaging.

1.5 Monitor Introduction 1.5.1 Using the Control Buttons Use the control buttons on the side of the monitor to adjust the image settings. Press key 1-5 to activate the key list page. 1 2 3 4 5 6 1. ( • Turn on the OSD menu. Enact the selected OSD menu item. • Increase/Decrease values or moves your selection up/down/ left/right. 2. Close Button: • Exit the OSD menu. • Turn on the OSD menu when the monitor enters standby mode or display the "NO SIGNAL" message. 3.

GameVisual Button: • Press this hotkey to switch from eight video preset modes (Scenery Mode, Racing Mode, Cinema Mode, RTS/RPG Mode, FPS Mode, sRGB Mode, MOBA Mode, and User Mode) with GameVisual ™ Video Intelligence Technology. • Turn on the OSD menu when the monitor enters standby mode or display the "NO SIGNAL" message. 5. 1.5.3 GameVisual Function The GameVisual function helps you select among different picture modes in a convenient way. To active GameVisual: Press the GameVisual hotkey repeatedly to select. • Scenery Mode: This is the best choice for scenery photo displaying with GameVisualTM Video intelligence Technology. • Racing Mode: This is the best choice for racing game playing with GameVisualTM Video intelligence Technology.
2.1 Detaching the Stand (for VESA Wall Mount) •• Avoid damaging the monitor surface. While detaching the monitor stand, always keep the monitor inside its EPS packaging. The detachable stand of this monitor is specially designed for VESA wall mount. 2-1 1. Disconnect power and signal cables. Carefully put the monitor facedown on its EPS packaging. 2. Remove the covers on where the monitor and the arm meet. 3. Remove the four (4) screws securing the arm to the rear of the monitor. 4.
• • The VESA wall mount kit (100 x 100 mm) is purchased separately. Use only the UL Listed Wall Mount Bracket with minimum weight/load 22.7kg (Screw size: M4 x 15 mm). 2.2 Adjusting the Monitor • For optimal viewing, we recommend that you look at the full face of the monitor, then adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you. • Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling while changing its angle.

The adjusting range is from lower Level 0 to the fastest Level 5.
• Shadow Boost: Adjusts the monitor gamma curve to enrich the dark tones in an image making dark scenes and objects much easier be found. Available options: None, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Dynamic Adjustment. 2. Image Configure the image parameters.
• Blue Light Filter: Reduce the energy level of blue light emitted from LED backlight. To turn off the Blue Light Filter, select Level 0. • When Blue Light Filter is activated, the default settings of Racing Mode will be automatically imported. Between Level 1 to Level 3, the Brightness function is user-configurable. Level 4 is optimized setting. It is compliance with TUV Low Blue Light Certification. The Brightness function is not user-configurable.
• Color Temp.: Selects the desired color temperature. Available options: Cool, Normal, Warm, and User Mode. •• In the User Mode, colors of R (Red), G (Green), and B (Blue) are user-configurable; the adjusting range is from 0 to 100. • Gamma: Allows you to set the color mode to 1.8, 2.2, or 2.5. • Saturation: Adjusts the saturation level. The adjusting range is from 0 to 100. 4. Input Select Select the input source.
• Aura Sync: Allows you to turn on or off the Aura Sync function that synchronizes the Aura RGB light effect among all supported devices. • Aura RGB: Sets the Aura RGB light pattern on the rear of the monitor. Available options: Rainbow, Color Cycle, Static, Breathing, Strobing, and OFF. •• • For Aura RGB patterns, such as Static, Breathing, and Strobing you can set your preferred color. The color options include red (R), green (G), blue (B), cyan (C), magenta (M), and yellow (Y).
7. System Setup Adjust the system configuration.
• Power Indicator: Turns the power LED indicator on/off. • Power Key Lock: Disables/Enables the power key. • Key Lock: Pressing down the ( ) button for more than five seconds to activate or deactivate the key lock function. • OSD Setup: Adjusts the OSD Timeout, DDC/CI, and Transparency of the OSD screen. • Information: Displays the monitor information. • All Reset: Select YES to revert all settings to the factory default mode.
3.2 Aura AURA is a software program that controls the colorful LEDs on supported devices, such as monitors, motherboards, graphic cards, desktop PCs, etc. Aura allows you to adjust the color of the RGB LEDs on these devices and select different light effects. You can also correct or adjust the color of the LEDs by calibrating them. To activate Aura: 1. Turn ON the Aura Sync function in the OSD menu. 2. Connect the USB 3.0 upstream port of the monitor to the USB port of your computer. 3.

3.4 Troubleshooting (FAQ) Problem Power LED is not ON Possible Solution • Press the on. button to check if the monitor is turned • Check if the adapter and power cord are properly connected to the monitor and the power outlet. • Check the Power Indicator function in the OSD menu. Select “ON“ to turn on the power LED. The power LED lights white and there is no screen image • Check if the monitor and the computer are turned on.
