Youmayinstall4GB,8GB,16GB,and32GBunbufferedECCandnon‑ECCDDR4
DIMMsintotheDIMMsockets.
YoumayinstallvaryingmemorysizesinChannelA,ChannelB,ChannelC,andChannel
D.Thesystemmapsthetotalsizeofthelower‑sizedchannelforthequad‑channel
conguration.Anyexcessmemoryfromthehigher‑sizedchannelisthenmappedfor
single-channel operation.
• ThedefaultmemoryoperationfrequencyisdependentonitsSerialPresenceDetect
(SPD),whichisthestandardwayofaccessinginformationfromamemorymodule.
Underthedefaultstate,somememorymodulesforoverclockingmayoperateata
lowerfrequencythanthevendor‑markedvalue.
• Forsystemstability,useamoreefcientmemorycoolingsystemtosupportafull
memoryloadoroverclockingcondition.
• AlwaysinstalltheDIMMSwiththesameCASLatency.Foranoptimumcompatibility,
werecommendthatyouinstallmemorymodulesofthesameversionordatacode
(D/C)fromthesamevendor.Checkwiththevendortogetthecorrectmemory
modules.
