Safety information • Before setting up the monitor, carefully read all the documentation that came with the package. • To prevent fire or shock hazard, never expose the monitor to rain or moisture. • Never try to open the monitor cabinet. The dangerous high voltages inside the monitor may result in serious physical injury. • If the power supply is broken, do not try to fix it by yourself. Contact a qualified service technician or your retailer.
WARNING Usage of other than specified head- or earphones can result in hearing loss due to excessive sound pressures. Please confirm the distribution system in building installation shall provide the circuit breaker rated 120/240V, 20A (maximum). If provided with a 3-pin attachment plug on the power cord, plug the cord into a grounded (earthed) 3-pin outlet. Do not disable the power cord grounding pin, for example, by attaching a 2-pin adapter. The grounding pin is an important safety feature.
Care & Cleaning • Before you lift or reposition your monitor, it is better to disconnect the cables and power cord. Follow the correct lifting techniques when positioning the monitor. When lifting or carrying the monitor, grasp the edges of the monitor. Do not lift the display by the stand or the cord. • Cleaning. Turn your monitor off and unplug the power cord. Clean the monitor surface with a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Stubborn stains may be removed with a cloth dampened with mild cleaner.
NOTE: This monitor is ENERGY STAR certified. This product qualifies for ENERGY STAR in the factory default setting which can be restored by “Factory Reset” function in the OSD menu. Changing the factory default settings or enabling other features may increase power consumption that could exceed the ENERGY STAR specified limits.

1.3 Assembling the monitor base To assemble the monitor base: 1. Place the display on a cloth on the table. Then attach the base to the arm and fix with the screw to join them tightly. You can easily tighten the screw by fingers. 2. Adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you. 2.1 Detaching the base/stand (for VESA wall mount) The detachable stand of the LCD monitor is specially designed for VESA wall mount. To detach the arm/stand: 1. Disconnect power and signal cables. Carefully put the front of the monitor face down on a clean table. 2. Use your finger to loosen the screw located at the bottom of the base, and remove the base from the stand. And then remove the hinge cover from monitor body by using your fingers. 3.
2.2 Adjusting the monitor • For optimal viewing, we recommend that you look at the full face of the monitor, then adjust the monitor to the angle that is most comfortable for you. • Hold the stand to prevent the monitor from falling while changing its angle. • You can adjust the monitor’s angle from -5˚ to 30˚. • Do not touch the Touch screen when you change the angle. It may cause damage or break the Touch screen and LCD screen.
3.1 Touch Operation • ASUS VT168HR is a touch monitor which uses 10 point touch panel technology. Please use with latest OS like Windows 10. • You can use either single finger touch, or multi-finger touch up to maximum simultaneous 10 touch points. 10-Point Touch • To activate touch functionality, you need to connect the display with the provided USB type B cable to your computer. • You do not need to install any other software.
Left edge swipe (on Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11 only) Swipe from the left edge of the screen to shuffle your running apps. Right edge swipe (on Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11 only) Swipe from the right edge of the screen to launch the Charm bar. Finger slide (on Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11 only) Slide your finger to scroll up and down and slide your finger to pan the screen left or right.
Zoom out Bring together your two fingers on the touch panel. Zoom in Spread apart your two fingers on the touch panel. Single Tap/Double tap Single Tap Touch the target on the screen with one fingertip for one quick tap, then release.
Double Tap Touch the target on the screen with one fingertip for two quick taps, then release. Tap an app to launch it (on Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11 only). Double-tap an item to launch it. Tap and hold To move an app, tap and hold the app tile and drag it to a new location. To close an app (on Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11 only), tap and hold the top side of the running app and drag it down to the bottom of the screen to close it.
NOTE: • You can access to OS website to get more description on touch operation. • Do not touch the screen with sharp objects, it may result in damage, and void warranty. • Do not push hard, or rest anything on the glass surface (if in horizontal position) as it will damage the screen and void warranty. • Please keep your hands clean and dry before touching the screen to ensure fluid touch operation. • The touch function works only on OS and applications which support touch functions.

2. Blue Light Filter Adjust the energy level of blue light emitted from LED backlight. 4. Image You can adjust the image Sharpness, Trace Free, Aspect Control, VividPixel, ASCR, Position, Focus and Auto Adjust from this main function.
