Problem Action
A wireless client wants
to connect to the ASUS
WL-330N but can not
get the correct IP from
the DHCP server. (The
ASUS WL-330N has an
enabled DHCP.)
Make sure the DHCP server is working properly.
Some DHCP servers can only assign one IP address
at a time. In this case, assign a xed IP address to
your ASUS WL-330N.
Cannot connect to the
Internet for a new MAC
address.
MAC (Media Access Control) is a unique identier that
identies your computer or device in the network. ISPs
monitor the MAC addresses of devices that connect to
their services, and would disallow Internet connection
for new MAC addresses. To x this issue, you can do
either of the following:
• Contact your ISP and request to update the MAC
address associated with your ISP subscription.
• Clone or change the MAC address of the new
device to match the MAC address of the original
device.
