12. M.2 Socket 3
This socket allows you to install an M.2 (NGFF) SSD module.
• This socket supports M Key and type 2242/2260/2280 storage devices (Type 2242
storage device is supported on Rev. 2.00 or later versions of this motherboard).
• The M.2 Socket 3 shares bandwidth with SATA ports 5 and 6. Refer to section 3.6.3
PCH Storage Configuration of this user guide for more details.
• When using Intel
®
Desktop Responsiveness technologies with PCIe M.2 device,
ensure to set up the Windows
®
UEFI operating system under RAID mode.
The M.2 (NGFF) SSD module is purchased separately.
