System 25 Initial Implementation
Administering Voice Channel Ports as VMS
Each voice channel connected to FAX Attendant must be administered as Voice
Message Service (VMS) so that the mode codes will be transmitted to FAX
Attendant.
Before assigning VMS ports, complete the Auxiliary Equipment Options - Ill (Station
Interface Only) form in the AT&T System 25 R3 Implementation Manual and Records
Binder.
To administer a port as VMS, follow these steps:

At the Main Menu, select Port.
At Port=, specify the port physical location (CSSPP)

(Delete the port.)
Press [

] to continue.

(Set VMS.)

At Data=, enter the extension number of the port.

(Set dial accessibility for testing)
Press [
DELETE
] to exit.
Using the Advanced Administration Software:
1.
At the Main Menu, select Auxiliary Equipment.
2.
At the Auxiliary Equipment menu, select Voice Messaging System.
A form appears.
3.
Press the [
SPACE
] bar until the service field shows
Automated Attendant.
4.
Press [ TAB ] to get to the slot location field.
5.
Enter the port physical location (CSSPP).
