California Energy Commission battery charging
testing instructions
This telephone is set up to comply with the energy-conserving standards right out
of the box. These instructions are intended for California Energy Commission (CEC)
compliance testing only. When the CEC battery charging testing mode is activated,
all speakerphone functions, except speakerphone battery charging, will be disabled.
To activate the CEC battery charging testing mode:
Before proceeding, make sure the speakerphone is plugged with charged battery
and the speakerphone charger is connected to power.
Press VOL+ , PHONE, VOL – , PHONE, VOL+, VOL – and PHONE.
When the speakerphone successfully enters the CEC battery charging testing
mode, the voice prompt "Not registered" plays once upon every key press.
When the speakerphone fails to enter this mode, repeat all the steps
mentioned above.
To deactivate the CEC battery charging testing mode:
Before proceeding, make sure the speakerphone is plugged with charged battery.
Make sure the telephone base and speakerphone charger are connected to power.
Register your speakerphone back to the telephone base. See pages 5-8 for
speakerphone registration instructions.
