Safe use
• WARNING: this appliance and its accessible
parts become hot during use. Do not touch
hot parts. Keep children younger than 8 away
from the appliance, unless you can watch them
continuously.
• This equipment may be used by children older
than 8, as well as by people with physical,
sensory or learning difficulties or with a lack of
experience and knowledge, if they are supervised
and instructed in the safe use of the appliance
and understand the associated dangers.
• This teppanyaki grill is designed for household
use. It is to be used for food preparation only.
• When using the teppanyaki grill for the first time
you will notice a ‘new-grill smell’. Don’t worry,
this is normal. The odour will disappear through
ventilation.
• Do not place plastic objects or objects with a
plastic handle on the grilling surface.
• Do not use the grilling surface as a cutting
surface. This can damage the blades and the
griddle.
• Never hit the grilling surface with the spatula or
the point of the knife. This can cause scratches
and damage.
• Always remain with the appliance if a zone is
switched on.
• Ensure that there is adequate ventilation in
your kitchen during use Keep natural ventilation
openings open.
• Ensure that there is several centimetres
clearance between the bottom of the teppanyaki
grill and the contents of any drawers.
• Grease and oil are inflammable when overheated.
Should oil catch fire, never try to extinguish the
fire with water. Immediately cover the teppan yaki
grill with a wet cloth and switch it off.
• Never flambé under a cooker hood. The high
flames could cause a fire, even if the cooker
hood is switched off.
