Note:
1. When both the audio out and headphone jack with
microphone are connected to an audio device, the latter
takes precedence over the former.
2. To use the USB-C DC-in port, an additional USB-C PD
(LPScertifi ed) power adapter required.
Note:
1. The recommended lengths of the cables used to connect
to the displays shall not exceed 5 m.
2. For MacOS, only 1 display can be used in Extended
Mode; when 2 displays are connected, only Mirror Mode
is supported.

Connect an Ethernet cable to the unit’s Ethernet port for
internet access.

Connect USB peripheral devices to the unit’s USB 3.2 Gen 1
Type-A ports.

Connect the unit to an audio device by doing one of the
following:
A. Connect a set of speakers to the unit’s audio jack.
B. Connect a headphone to the unit’s headphone jack with
microphone.

(Optional) Connect a USB-C PD power adapter or a USB-C
peripheral device to the unit’s USB-C DC-in port, respectively
for power redundancy or peripheral device operation.

Host Requirement
USB-C enabled computer or smartphone / tablet with one of
the following operating systems:
• Windows
®
10 (32-bit / 64-bit) with 7th-Gen Intel Core
Processor or above
• MacOS X 10.12 or later
• iPadOS 13.1 or later
• Android 8.0 or later
Note: To transmit video through a USB-C port, make sure your
computer supports DP Alt Mode over the USB-C port, and that
it has been enabled.

Installation

Supply power to the unit, thereby turning it on, by plugging
the power adapter provided into a power source, and plug
its cable into the unit’s power jack.

Connect a USB-C enabled computer to the unit’s USB-C
host port.
3
Connect up to 2 displays to the VGA, HDMI, and DisplayPort
output ports.

Operation
Monitor / Sound Settings for Mac
External Monitor Settings:
Option 1: Extend Mode
1. Open System Preferences and click Displays.
2. Click on Arrangement to change the position of the
connected displays.
Option 2: Mirror Mode
1. Open System Preferences and click Displays.
2. Click on Arrangement.
3. Select and check Mirror Displays.
External Sound Settings
1. Open System Preferences and click Sound.
2. Click on Arrangement to change the sound output device
to the UH3230A.
