Setup
Click the Setup icon to configure the VM0808T’s IP and serial settings, and to
name all the ports in your installation.
IP Setup
The Web Setup settings enable you to configure the VM0808T’s Web interface
connection. Changes take a few seconds and automatically redirect you to the
IP address specified. Enter values and then click Save or Clear. Click Default
Setting to use the following defaults:
IP Address – 192.168.168.23
Subnet Mask – 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway – 192.168.168.1
Website Timeout – 5 minutes
Note: This option controls how long an inactive Web connection stays
logged in to the VM0808T. Any changes will take effect
immediately.
Telnet Configuration
Enable the checkbox if you want the VM0808T to receive commands on Port
23 for telnet use. See Telnet Operation, page 38, for further details.
Note: The VM0808T must be power cycled for a change in the Telnet
configuration block to take effect.
Serial Setup
The Serial Setup settings enable you to configure the VM0808T’s serial
connection. Use the drop-down menus to select values and then click Save or
Clear. Click Default Setting to use the following defaults:
Serial Port Address – 0
Baud Rate – 38400
Serial Port Mode – RS-232
Note: Mode options are RS-232, RS-422/RS-485, and bypass. See Serial
Port Mode, page 24, for further details about bypass mode.
