Zone-Groups Overview
The Groups feature, also referred to as Room Combine, allows zones to be assigned to a group and then combined and uncombined by the following
actions: Manually (using the “Combine” toggle), GPI, Scheduled event in a scene, or Recall as a routine. The Group also allows a source to be assigned to
overtake the individual zone sources when the zones are combined.
The Zones page is where you add and configure the groups. Select ADD GROUP to open the configuration popup.
1. Enter Group name. In this case, we want to combine Rm 1 + 2
2. Select color and edit tag if desired.
3. Select an input source for the group when combined if desired.
Note: This is optional and not required to proceed creating a group.
4. Select zones to include in group.
5. There are optional settings for un-combine:
a. Revert = Group source selected and level control “reverts”
back to where they were set prior to combining.
b. Release = Group source selected, and level control stays
where they are set for each zone in group after un-combining
but are free to move separately.
After the Group has been added, it appears in the Group List. Up to 12 groups can be configured.
1. Click on ADD GROUP to add another group. Further down, you will see we added a group to combine Rm 1+2+3.
2. Group name and number of zones included, click “Show Zones” dropdown to adjust zone offset levels or mute any zone.
3. Select or change the group source input from the input source drop down list. When the group is active, this source will overtake all of the grouped
zones sources. The group level will also overtake the zones level setting and make them follow the group level fader. Zone levels will follow the group
offsets when in combined state.
4. Mute – select to mute group channel.
5. “>” icon links to settings page allows changing the zone selections, un-combine action, and delete group.
