Calibration theory
Before calibration is attempted all the air bubbles should be removed from the tubing.
This is done by running the pump while tapping the tubing. If air bubbles are not
removed from the tubing they will slowly group together into larger air bubbles. Over
time this will lead to accuracy issues.

Calibration types
Volume calibration
Volume over time calibration
Calibration is optional. Both types of calibration are independent of each other and can
be done at any time. Calibration can be done at any volume however; Atlas Scientic
recommends using volumes above 5ml.
Equipment needed for calibration
An accurate graduated cylinder
of at least 10ml.
An accurate scale with a resolution
of at least 0.1 grams
